The major issue is the web site. We are in need of getting our own web site. There is a problem with the Registry. There is a problem with the Registry getting into the Chapter site.
Don Robinson motioned that Denny Engle find out about a web site available by Nancy Wood, Seconded by Joe Rice, motion carried.
Next issue is insurance – Insurance will be changing again and there is quite a bit of discussion on this matter.
Newsletter – Getting a lot of attention. When mailing out the newsletters, abbreviations for lane, street, etc. will no longer be accepted by the post office.
Fundraising –
Denny Engle thanked everyone for taking a book of tickets and selling them. Denny questioned if there was a need to send a book of tickets to each member to sell at other shows? Joe said to have Dave look into the cost of this.
Denny also told us that Billy Steers, author of the Tractor Mac books, donated a set of books to be added to the raffle. We also have the option to sell his books as a fundraiser.
Bylaw Changes –
We are to put Inc. in the name of Chapter 34. There is talk of taking out the 19 state boundary, but there still needs to be a key group to keep it going.
Don Bowers has been appointed to the Bylaw Committee last fall. He will give us reports on this matter.
Insurance –
The insurance we currently have will only cover the public, not the members. We only have liability.
During Spring Plowday at Luthersburg there will be nominations for the Directors for next year.
Dues Letters –
They should be out no later than August 2008.
There was also talk of 2011 show options as well as show tractor possibilities.
Dave and Stephanie will get together to make an official letterhead for Chapter 34.
Next meeting will be a week from Monday night.
Motion to adjourn at 1:15pm by Dave Daugherty and seconded by Dave Chester. Motion carried.
